Council members, in a virtual session Wednesday, voted 5-1 to appoint Lisa Dorsey, who serves as president of the Melton Center Board of Directors, to represent Ward 7 on council.

A crumbling wall at the front of the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center has a new life after a mural depicting the center's past and future was finished earlier this week.

The Charles A. Melton Center is a registered 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the amount allowable by the IRS. Registration and financial information for the Melton Center may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling (800) 732-0999.
